Gosta Labs is changing that. Saving its users 50–70% of their time spent on paperwork every single day, by quietly sitting in the background of every consultation like an invisible helper able to capture, transcribe and summarize what is said.

Aalto-Unstacked – Hydrolift

Aalto-Unstacked is developing an innovative generation of planar hydrogen fuel cells to empower space-efficient and modular applications. So, we – team Hydrolift, are stepping up to develop a progressive drone powered by this product. With this integration, we aim to solve the “headache” of confined space, delicate weight, maintainability, and demanding power output for enduring flight time. This application will mark the start to scale our product into more sectors. However, right at this moment, having a hydrogen UAV has already opened various opportunities for a sustainable future.

Aurora – Frictionless

What happens when a satellite deploys a tether in space?

On Earth, gravity makes this difficult to study. Our team built a system where two objects, connected by a tether, can move freely across a surface using air bearings, resembling motion in space.

This setup is used to test the deployment of a plasma brake, a charged tether used to slow satellites through interaction with space plasma.

Threats caused by hostile drones are increasing. Our goal is to maximize defense efficiency and accuracy by minimizing response time.

Solution: A semi-mobile launching system that can be used to build a decentralized defense network.

Every launcher houses multiple defensive interceptors. The launchers are placed near the critical targets that need protecting. An interceptor drone is launched when an incoming threat is detected.

Units can be left unattended for several months at a time with low maintenance and operated remotely.

Benefits: Reduces the need for manpower, operators remain in safe locations. Semi-mobile units enable a dynamic, re-configurable defense grid.

What if shared headsets could instantly adapt to you?

In high-noise environments, communication is critical, but standard headsets ignore individual hearing differences, making audio unclear and setup frustrating, especially for individuals with hearing loss. Our solution enables seamless, personalized audio through a simple NFC tap. By linking personal hearing profiles to an inline DSP system, users receive real-time, tailored sound without any manual adjustment.

Seaweed is one of the ocean’s most abundant resources yet much of what industries use ends up as waste. We asked if this residue could be valorized to replace plastics in high-performance materials for contemporary product design.

From injection-moldable pellets to heat-pressed sheets and tiles offering distinctive materiality and refined natural aesthetics. Sealevä materials contain 30-100% seaweed content. Designed to integrate with existing manufacturing processes, each formulation is supported by LCA data, enabling brands to make more responsible material choices without compromising on performance or visual quality.

Dental professionals often compromise their own ergonomics to deliver high-quality care. Our project reimagines the instrument bridge of a next-generation dental unit to support both clinicians and patients.

The redesigned system enables seamless collaboration between dentist and assistant, allowing them to work together as “two brains, four hands,” while accommodating both left- and right-handed users. A dual-display interface provides equal access from both sides, improving workflow and usability.

Customizable visuals and interactive guidance also enhance patient communication, making treatments easier to understand.
